Jim Burke continually provides benefit packages that enhance each employee's lifestyle. All of the benefits mentioned below are subject to change without notice and are implemented as indicated in the Employee Handbook.
Health
We offer employees medical coverage for themselves and their families. The company pays for the majority of the employee's health insurance premium. Dependent coverage would be at the expense of the employee. The employee will pay their premiums through pre-tax dollars through our Section 125 Plan. Eligible first of the month after 120 days of full-time employment.
Dental
We offer a choice of dental plans for the employee and their eligible dependents. The premiums will be paid with pre-tax dollars through our Section 125 Plan. Eligible first of the month after 120 days of full-time employment.
Life Insurance
The company pays 100% for a basic life insurance policy for the employee, $5,000 for the spouse, and $2,500 for each eligible dependent over 6 months of age. This plan also includes accidental death and dismemberment protection for the employee. Eligible first of the month after 120 days of full-time employment.
Additional Protection
The employee can purchase additional insurance policies through payroll deduction that meet the needs and budget of the employee. These are discussed when the employee is first eligible and each annual open enrollment in June for a July 1st effective date. Eligible first of the month after 120 days of full-time employment.
401(k)
The company has a 401(k) savings plan with discretionary matching based on business profitability. The employee is fully vested in the plan after six years of employment. Employees must be 21 and with one year of service with at least 1000 hours to be eligible to participate in the plan. Open enrollment is every January and July. The employee has full control of their money and the company's for investment purposes, which can be done, over the phone or on the Internet.
Vacation
All full-time employees are eligible for vacation after one year of service. One week after one year, two weeks after two years and three weeks after ten years.
Holidays
The company recognizes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Paid Sick Leave
Paid sick leave is available to full-time non-sales employees after one year of service.
Discounts
Employees are eligible for discounts in all departments: new car, used car, rent car, certified leasing, body shop, parts and service. Employees are also eligible for discounts to a variety of theme parks and attractions through Human Resources.
